Stephenia Gay Walton
Mansfield, Texas
After graduating from Stephen F. Austin, I worked for 15 years as a social worker for the Texas Dept. of Health, until 1986. At that time we moved to the Arlington area, where I worked as a church secretary for 7 years, then in the accounting office of a large real estate firm for several years. Having been a homemaker for the last 9 years, I now have "many" jobs and love every minute of it!
My husband, Kirk, is a Staff Industrial Engineer at Bell Helicopter-Textron in Ft. Worth. I have a stepson and a stepdaughter of whom I am very proud. Marc, 37, is a Master Sargeant in the Air Force. He and his family recently moved back to Texas after 8 years in Anchorage, Alaska. Jennifer, 34, is an accountant with Dell Computer in Austin. We have two grandsons, Matt, who is 15 and enjoying his first year of high school and Colton, who is 5, and also a granddaughter, Kendall, who is 2.
I enjoy reading, decorating, gardening with flowers, and am an avid Barbie doll collector. I'm also actively involved in Christian Women's Club here in Mansfield, and Kirk and I are both active in our church choir. When he retires in 4-5 years, we plan to head home to Palestine as quick as we can get there!
