After attending Baylor, my husband and I moved to Tyler where I lived for 29 years. We had three children who are now grown and gone from home. I was widowed in 1998 and received my doctorate in education in 2002. I decided to move to Arlington in 2003 to be close to my only child who is still in Texas. My son and his wife are both doctors in Wichita KS, my oldest daughter here in Arlington teaches at Kennedale, and my youngest daughter, 25, lives in NYC and is a performer, however, she is currently in the LA cast of Wicked.
I have two granddaughters, ages 4 and 5, and one grandson here in Arlington who is one.
Upon deciding to move to Arlington, I accepted a job with AISD as a special education diagnostician but I retired in August of 2006 due to health reasons. I also do adjunct work at for various universities as needed. I live with four dogs and three cats. They wear the pants in my family.
